Is there a way to turn an existing 1 tier DFF into a 2 tier DFF?

I have an 11 segment DFF attached to the Maintain Lot Numbers DFF in the Inventory module. Most of the segments have a simple value set of yes or no. Now there's a need to add more information whenever there is a "yes" response. Something like

a) Does this lot number have "x"? Response = Yes so open another segment to select additional information from an LOV (value set)

b) Does this lot number have "y"? Response = No so do not open another segment to add more info

c) Does this lot number have "z"? Response = Yes so open another segment to select additional information from another LOV (different value set)
