Huge time taken for HFM metadata/member list loads

We have recently configured HFM with 11.1.2.4.204 version where we have HFM web and HFM java installed on different servers(windows)

Everything seems to be fine but we see high amounts of time (nearly 2 hours) when loading the hfm application elements like metadata, rules or member lists. However the reports, forms, grids take no time. Even the consolidations are inline with our 11.1.2.3 environment. When we try to load a metadata file we can see that a connection to database is established immediatey. However the final message of metadata completion comes after 2 hours. Any suggestions on this?
