Track in Oracle Install Base even on hand quantity exists

Hi Team,

Business decided to check the flag Track in install base for some of the items.

as with the new enhancement  the field which says track only customer items.

if i want to track only customer owned instances do i need to make on hand quantity zero.

Please suggest as i don't want to track transactions internally..

Any document reference is appreciated.
