when a supplier name changes while the supplier is the same

When the supplier Name changes even thou the supplier is the same - Do we need to have another address book#? Can we set a parent child relationship and have the history for the supplier with the same address book number but a different supplier name. Is there a way in JDE where the number remains the same but the name can be changed and tracked in history . this way the contracts for a drawndown PO doesn't need to be closed and re-opened to accommodate this change. Is this possible please advise....thanks in advance
