How to define Straight Line Depreciation method??

I am currently setting up the fixed asset module implementation.

i have to define straight line method for depreciation of assets on cost base.

how can i define year in this situation as when i select flat rate and cost option the years are disabled.

If i select table and cost then year are visible but how can i define the table rates.
