Has anyone had any luck finding a way to bill a sales order prior to shipping it in PeopleSoft?

We are trying to come up with a way to invoice certain customers from the sales order prior to shipping it from PS inventory.  Anyone else have this need?  If so, were you able to resolve via customization?
