X5-2 Re-image

Hi, we we're about to upgrade a customer's X5-2 (Bare Metal) from 12.1.2.8.0 to 12.1.2.10.0, but we found out they did some hardening (kernel and other packages upgrade!), so they rendered the system unusable.

At this point, can we follow this steps, in order to update the system to 12.1.2.10?

  1. Re-image the OS with 12.1.2.10.0 (patch 12999313)
  2. Update the rest of components with patch 25499210

Is there anything else we should do?  Am I missing something?
