Finding troubled session & process

We are using db 11.2.0.4 with EBS version 12.2.4 on oracle enterprise Linux 6.8

In the past 3 days, it almost always happens during around 3:00pm central time when the db session and process will out of blue reach the max 2000 and the db will be hung. We have to randomly kill some session just to be able to get login to the db. It has been difficult to try to find out which one maybe the trouble session or process. At this moment I can only think of may be look at the listener log and see what are the connecting session during that time possibly. Also, I am going to check
