Installing a Video Player on Application Page

I want to run a video from my APEX application. The video is on YouTube. I found an article on Google search to install  a plugin -- APEX Video Player from Github. The problem is that the instructions to install are so skimpy that all my efforts fail. I have uploaded the file to my application and installed it. But am unable to get the player on the page because without an SQL file as the source the error stops me from going forward. Has anyone used this particular plugin and know how to implement it? Is there a simpler
