Daily Rate, Num of Days, Receipt Amount

Has anyone determined a viable option for the flow of entering a daily rate and num of days and then the receipt amount divides the amount rather than multiple the amount to create the receipt amount?

For example Enter a daily rate of 25 and num. of days of 5 but application updates daily rate to 5 for a receipt amount of 25
