If I run an unconstrained MRP plan in ASCP I get issued with very high PAB during the planning horizon if I run with 35 days, 32 weeks and 3 periods. If I run the plan with 350 days and no buckets the PAB is expected.

With the plan where I have days, weeks and periods at times it does try to get back to the expected PAB but then is bringing in purchase orders to early for most of the plan outside of the day buckets.
