OTL: how to enter time if an employee has more than 1 active assignment.

We have a requirement where an employee can have more than 1 active assignment. we have figured out how to add multiple assignments to an employee without end dating the previous assignment.  We want to know how to enter time for the new assignment, are we going to have multiple timecards or how does it work?
