PO receipt done through Mulitlocation application gives blank Expiration Date when adding new locati

PO receipt done through Mulitlocation application gives blank Expiration Date when adding new location/lot.

Error:

CAUSE.
. . . . A Lot Expiration Date is required when inventory is received
under
advanced lot number control. A date must be entered.
Resolution . . Enter the
Lot Expiration Date.

Please let m e know the reason for this error and how can we have the lot expiration date to be populated automatically
