Need to add new Advanced Search criteria row in iExpense

On 12.2.5, we want to add a new advanced search criteria row in iExpense so users can search for expense reports by the attribute_category found in ap_expense_report_headers.

I have not been able to find step-by-step instructions for this personalization.  Can anyone point me to some?
