Samba unable to join domain . Failed to make ipc connection

I am not able to successfully join my system to the Domain using: net rpc join -S < DC Server Name> -U admin

I am getting the following error:

Cannot connect to server (anonymously). Error was NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

Connection failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

failed to make ipc connection: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
