How do you create a custom macro in a Report Manager template?

We are upgrading to Oracle 12.2.5 and migrating client ADI reporting to Report Manager. Some of the formatting we do in client ADI templates cannot be done in the row set nor in the Report Manager template so I want to add a custom macro to the template. With the custom macro, when the FSG report is opened in Excel, the macro is in the workbook and the user can execute it to correct the formatting. I have a working macro but when I upload the template, my macro is removed. How can I create a custom macro in the
