Can you cc an author on a workflow email notification?

I have a custom workflow email notification (using a template) that is sent to the reviewer when a document is checked in but the reviewer also wants the author cc'd on the email so they know that an email was sent. How can I do this?

This is a strictly a notification email with no approval necessary.
