Unwanted line in RTF template exported to Excel

Hi all,

I have created an RTF template which the client wishes to be exported to excel.
Unfortunately, when it exports, one of the data columns features two excel columns merged together.
I have found that this is due to the fact that there is a row flowing through at the end of the excel output which is blank but has a named variable value of:

page\x2dtotal
page\x2dtotal\x2dmaster0

Does anyone know a) what causes this to be added to the template and b) how to remove it?
