Dataguard FAL issue-log gaps

I have a standby database that recently started showing "FAL[client]: Failed to request gap sequence". This standby database is opened in Read ONLY mode during the day
and put back in recovery at night. I noticed in the log that when put in recovery, it starts to apply logs as normal and then gets to a point where it starts to look for 2 or more logs.
RFS service would show its received all the logs before and after these 2 or more missing logs and media recovery is unable to continue as these logs are missing.
When i check primary site, i see these logs but they are not present in standby site.
