wHow to gracefully shutdown a siebel component

We have to shut down say 1 out of the 4 siebel EAI server for some reason. But, we want to make sure that if we bring down the server, we want to gracefully shut down the server in such a way that EAI tasks finishes it's task and any other new task should not come to that server.

Could you provide a way to do this ?

As per the book shelf, the below instructions are given. Does this work ?
