Is there a way to find "underlying layer" of an oracle-database/instance in 'RAC' or 'Single-Instanc

Hi There,

I am in need to know what the oracle database is created on top of ?

There are diverse possible configurations for an oracle database to create upon like :

Oracle Database can be created on top of :

  1. Raw-OS-Disk
  2. Raw Volume provided by any Volume-Manager
  3. ASM Disk Group
  4. File-System (Local FS or Clustered-File system )

Please add if there's any other possibility of creating oracle database ?

So - are there any ways to know which of the above configuration has been enabled or made for a particular database?

Awaiting response...

Thanks,

Amit
