Insight on a particular ORA0600 ?

Oracle 11.2.0.4.0, Standard Edition One, 64 bit
ASM 12.1.0.2.0, standalone (oracle restart) , no RAC no clustering of any kind.
Actually preparing for upgrade to 12.1.0.2.0 Standard Edition Two, but not there yet. First step of checking upgrade prereqs was to make sure init parm PROCESSES was at a minimum of 300. Subject database was at 150, so modified it, and since it is 'non-modifiable' (scope=spfile only) restarted the db.and observed this in the alert log:
