Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Org Item primary UOM different class than master item

What are steps to configure items that allow the master item primary UOM and the org item primary UOM to be different uom class (weight to volume)?

Set item attribute control for Primary UOM to Org level

set up new item with primary UOM as KILOS (base unit gram)

setup item specific inter-class conversion liters (volume) to grams (weight)

System will not allow org item to be changed to any volume uom...only weight.
