Recurring Order for ST/OT

Hello

I read white paper on Recurring order it says not supporting for ST/OT or Direct ship functionality.

Does any body if this functionality is planned in next versions.   We are planning to go total customizing approach, But i am looking to know why Oracle didn't go with this approach and do they see any implications on this logic , Because we wanted to verify Oracle thoughts before planning for customizing approach.
