Garnishment for Federal Government Student Loan setup to exclude health insurance?
Hello everyone,
When it comes to garnishments, has anyone else had to setup a garnishment that's a federal government student loan?
For this case in particular, it allows the person to deduct health insurance premiums beforehand, and since this employee is full time, he has health insurance premiums. We were brainstorming changing the Health DBA setups mandatory/voluntary, but the problem is health insurance needs to remain voluntary for the other garnishments. Because we only want it setup for this one employee, not everyone across the board, it may not work...
Is there an easy way that the garnishments workbench can do this calculation? Otherwise we've been doing a manual calculation based on hours worked and then do a OTO every pay period.
