Under Workflow -> Data Load Rule, what does the Period next to the Location represent?

Hi All,

Under Workflow -> Data Load Rule, what does the Period next to the Location represent?  I believe when you execute, you select the periods to load, so I wasn’t sure what the period at the bottom of the page represented.  Also, when you select the File Name is there anywhere else that you can access the Home, inbox, outbox repository or can you only see it from here?
