Auto populate an approver?

We have a new process that is using a Change request to track actions and a user identified through a list on page three of the CR item.  We want to auto populate the approver with that user in all cases.  Does anyone have an idea on how we can automatically pull the user on pg. three into the approval field when routing the item?

We are using Agile 9.3.4 and currently not using functional groups.
