SmartView - Cannot change POV

Excel Smart View Add-In: version 11.1.2.5.500

Connection: Ad Hoc HFM

Issue: Unable to change POV

Steps to re-create:

1. Create HFM ad hoc grid

2. Adjacent to the column POV (e.g., period), create a formula to generate the member (e.g., =$A$1  ... in cell $A$1 contains value "November")

3. Toggle other POV and click refresh.

Is it possible that the use of formulae to populate the POV in the ad hoc grid is preventing Smart View from refreshing?  Noted in previous posts that 11.1.2.5.610 Smart View coupled with 11.1.2.3.701 Hyperion Planning appeared to have created a similar issue (i.e., cannot change POV) -- https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/SearchDocDisplay?_adf.ctrl-state=fpwkgppa7_9&_afrLoop=514425241911414#CHANGE
