Impact of Value Set Change for EAM KFF

Hi,

What could be the impact if we change the value set for EAM Category KFF in Live Environment?

As per existing setup, we are using, one segment for EAM category with a value set having validation type as Independent.

Now as per the new requirement, we need allow users to enter directly in category combination instead of value set values. So we would like to replace existing value set in KFF setup with a new value set with validation type as None.

Does it have any impact on existing data in EAM Category Structure Code combinations ? or What could be circumstance with above changes ?
