Can I give an employee 40 hours of vacation using anniversary rollover but not on their anniversary

I need to give many employees 40 hours of vacation.  We are currently using the F06147 - Anniversary rollover setup for their vacation accrual.  How would I go about giving them this 40 extra hours even though I won't be rolling it over from the accrual, but need it in their beginning balance, and it's not their anniversary?  Has anyone run into this situation before, or have any suggestions?
