FDMEE: Excel trial balance upload does not suppress zeros on import

I am using an Excel document with a named range to import a trial balance in to FDMEE.  However when I import the trial balance the rows containing a zero value are not being suppressed.  My import format does not have NZP specified so I would expect the default behaviour to suppress the zeros.  Any idea how these can be suppressed?
