Hello

A little question about the EXADATA cell server shutdown

When to use

"cellcli -e alter flashcache all flush" comand before shutting down cell server ?

Cause :

doc id 1188080.1 - Steps to shut down or reboot an Exadata storage cell without affecting ASM

do not contain this comand

But :

doc id 1356432.1 and Exadata_PM_Process.pdf document

that we use to shutdown cell server when perform preventive maintenance battery replacement

say to do :

"cellcli -e alter flashcache all flush " comand

then

CellCLI> alter griddisk all inactive

then

shutdown -hP now

Thanks a lot
