Serial consoles for T5140

I just got hired at a place that has T5140 systems but no consoles.  We are only able to find one laptop with a serial port - and I'm not really comfortable with that solution.  What are some reliable serial devices to use and where can I find them?  I'm not sure I can find SUN vt100 terminals anymore.  Thank you!
