Xstore mobile ios application cannot connect to server

Hi,

I have installed the Xstore mobile application in an Ipod touch 5 device. The application installation was successful, but when I open the application and enter the host name and port number of the xstore mobile server, the app says "connection failure". I can connect to the server from the same ipod using the default safari browser using https://hostname:8443/xstoremgwt URL.
