background_dump_dest directory deleted on OS restart

Oracle 12.1.0.2 on Linux 6, in RAC environment

When OS is restarted,  without shuting Oracle down, backupground_dump_dest directory is removed by some process and instance cannot start when OS restarts.

I found no article on Oracle support.

I had to recreate missing directory and the instance started normally.

Here is the startup command and error message:

[xxxx@vrt0980 xxxxx]$ srvctl start instance -db dacdir0a -i dacdir0a1

PRCR-1013 : Failed to start resource ora.dacdir0a.db

PRCR-1064 : Failed to start resource ora.dacdir0a.db on node vrt0980

CRS-5017: The resource action "ora.dacdir0a.db start" encountered the following error:
