Solaris ldom remove vdisk and leave gaps in numbering

Hi,

I have Solaris 11.3 on a T7-1. I have LDOM version 3.4

I have many vdisks created and assigned to a guest domain. Now I need to remove some of the vdisks.

Problem is I did not use 'id=#' option when I added them. So question is will all other vdisks retain their numbers after a unbind, bind operation?

The documents suggest not:

"If a device number is not explicitly assigned to a virtual disk, its device number can change when the domain is unbound and is later bound again."

However, in tests that seemed not to be the case. I wonder if the documents are accurate here, or maybe refers to an earlier ldom version.
