Delivery Preference 09

Hi

I'm working with 9.2 environment.

Is there any way to set a delivery preference that is 'not' customer specific?

I am using for In Transit days. I attempted to assign a value to the sales order header in the ROUT field where preference was associated to ROUT value however the dates are not auto calculating using the preference assigned.
