Minimum length of E1 User ID in the P0092L

We recently went live on TR 9.2.0.5 (Web Oneoff 9.2.0.8), and as part of the process we turned on both LDAP and Long User ID's. As a result we are now having issues with some of our International users who have names that are under 6 characters. Lee Xi as an example. Is there a way around this, or is there any plan to fix this is the future? Unfortunately we have several users like this, and the only way around it would be to create a custom application that would insert the record directly into the F0092L, or modify
