Sales Orders shipping more than once

Current tools release - 9.1.4.6

OS - Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) - 2008 R2

Database - Microsoft SQL Server - 2014

Sometimes when sales orders are shipped, they are shipping more than once.

This is happening around the ship/confirm event (we are trying to pinpoint where exactly.)

We cannot duplicate at will, but it is occurring at all locations (approx. 50) with increasing frequency.

2014 – EOne 8.12, 1 occurrence

2015 – Went live on 9.1 in February, 41 instances

2016 – 47 instances

2017 – 106 instances YTD as of 6/28.

Currently the pattern is 1 to 2 orders/day out of hundreds.

  1. Why is this increasing in frequency?
  2. Where should we be troubleshooting?

Found a somewhat similar description during solution search, but it was for Xe fat client.
