Restrict database connections by IP address.

We would like to restrict what IP addresses can connect to our ODA listener ports. We have a couple server only subnets, and also some individual desktops with static IP addresses that need to connect.  We would like to prevent anything else from connecting.

Is iptables the preferred method or are there other options to consider also?

We are 12.1.2.10.0
