Is it possible to use a DFF on requisition_lines and not affect screens other than the 'Autocreate'

The requisition lines DFF affects multiple screens including req summary (lines search), and the screen to create a new req.

I can use a combination of SQL in the DFF and personalization so that only autocreate screen is affected, but it now errors when trying to create a non-catalog request.

Any ideas?

All I am trying to achieve is to bring in the VAT codes (from inventory) in the autocreate DFF for the item entered in for the requisition
