NFS mount options

NFS behavior so far on X6-2S (12.1.2.10) is unreliable.  Constant hangs and timeouts with copy, df, ls, and other commands.  It's like the bad old days of nfs all over again.  Does this ODA have some specific mount requirements for nfs volumes?  In our case it's a basic NetApp volume, mounted with "netapp-host:/FS1   /nfs/FS1      nfs     defaults        0       0"
