Details on Part search method in 11i (CSP: Part Search Method profile)

Hi,

We are upgrading from 11.5.10.2 to R 12.2.5 and have a question regarding spares management part search and ordering process.

in R12, there is a new profile to define the Part Search Method. The profile CSP: part Search method can be set to search in Spares supply chain, Inventory or ATP. We have gone through the definition of these 3 search method.

However we have a question that out of these 3 which was the method being used in 11i? Or was it a different search method all together in 11i? We have to explain to users about the existing part search method in 11i and based on that the value in R12 will be decided and set up.
