Troubleshooting high Memory Usage-Oracle

Hello Gurus,

We are using AWS RDS for Oracle(12.1.0.2) and have 64GB ,8 Cores(db.m4.4xlarge)instance recently upgraded to 64gb from 32gb and use AMM with memory_max_target and memory_target=48G . we have been seeing the "freeable memory" dropping gradually over a period of time .

Prior to hardware upgrade we had severe performance problems as RDS instance started to use swap use and free memory was less than ~2GB . we use AWS CloudWatch to monitor the OS/host metrics.

The number of sessions to the DB is not more than 400 at any given point of time and checking the v$pgastat for total pga usage is not more than 2g.
