SFSCLEANUP: what good are ANCIENT files for?
Hi.
I ran sfscleanup in our test environment. A significant number of files was marked as ANCIENT. From the documentation I understand that these are older version of current files. The question is then what to do with these files. I can't find a reason to keep ANCIENT files taking up space in the file system as the Siebel users won't be able to get to them, I understand that Siebel will always serve them the current version.
Also, this application has no integration whatsoever, there is no external system caching or storing anything related to these files.
Is there a technical reason to keep ANCIENT files?
