r12.2.4 fresh install self service button issues

I successfully installed a R12.2.4 vision instance on  oracle virtualbox. The application is up and running, I am able to launch forms, run concurrent reports etc however some of the buttons on self service pages do not work. When we click on the button nothing happens. This is happening on many pages. I tried regenerating the jsp's manually (clear cache button from front end is also not working ) and then force regenerated the jar files from adadmin. With no success. Any suggestions to fix this would be helpful.

I have noticed it on a couple of pages. The easiest to reproduce is clearing cache
