What should be the Back Ordered Line status for Back to Back Sales orders

We have ship confirmed back to back sales order and while ship confirming the shipped quantity was manually reduced from 10 to 5. The reduced quantity of 5 got interfaced but the next step of remaining quantity of 5 states Progress order in shipping Transaction form.

When we checked the sales order line status the line is in supply eligible status again instead of Awaiting shipping and the qty is also available. What should be the processing steps further with back order line status

Please suggest on the same whether it is the standard behaviour.
