Changing Apply Date on Receipts form

Hi,

I have a scenario here and would like to know if it is possible to achieve this.

We are on 12.1.3. There is an invoice with future dated invoice date : 18-JUL-2018. Created a receipt with current date : 12-JUL-2017 and when applying this receipt to the invoice, the Apply Date defaults to 18-JUL-2018. I tried changing this date but the system throws an error that "Apply Date must be greater than or equal to the Transaction Date" in 11i instance and in R12 it didn't throw any error but I wasn't able to change the date.

My question is : Is it possible to change this Apply date to current date anyhow maybe using some profile option or personalization? If yes, please let me know how.
