ORA-15186, ORA-15025 for a provisioned disk in multipath storage

I am seeking for feedback having single path and multipath mixed storage for ASM.  Has anyone been in same situation?  Will the solution break the existing single path storage? Thanks advance.

The HEADER_STATUS column in v$asm_disk for a disk just provisioned by "oracleasm createdisk" shows "UNKNOWN" instead of "PROVISIONED".  The alert_+ASM2.log receives ORA-15186 every 6 hours.  Oracle document 1384504.1 describes close to my issue but I am concerned with the solution to change ORACLEASM_SCANORDER="mpath dm" and ORACLEASM_SCANEXCLUDE="sd" in /etc/sysconfig/oracleasm.  My existing disks are all in single path partitions and the new disk is in a multipath storage.  I am running Oracle 11.2.0.4 in RHEL 5.
