Approval Process Definition Effective Date

Hi everyone,

We are on Peoplesoft 9.1. We will be making a slight change to our requistion approval process and was debating whether we should just correct history using the current effective date, or clone and create brand new effective date.

Does anyone know how in-process requistions pending approval would react to either scenario?  I'm inclined to just update using the current effective date.
